the bits between songs are the best parts of this album, but the songs are great too (fun & energetic without being too repetitive aren't a common mix in a lot of dance music)

Gorillaz - Humanz
best track: Andromeda

combination of rap with Gorillaz' newer style makes this a close second to my favorite album by Gorillaz

Gorillaz - Plastic Beach
best track: Welcome to the World of the Plastic Beach

the whole mood of this album along with every song (not Sweepstakes) being great easily takes the crown for the best Gorillaz album

best track: Mister James Bond

a weird & wacky album full of weird & wacky songs. i honestly couldn't tell you why i love this kind of music so much

strong beats that are pure bliss with a good set of headphones

my favorite album from Neil, though his older stuff is also on-point (namely Dinosaurchestra & View Monster)

fun mix of upbeat music, rap, and some lower-key songs

a super chill album that's perfect for just relaxing to. some songs drag a little bit & a few are out-of-place tonally, but overall one of my absolutely favorite albums

Neil Cicirega - Mouth Moods
best track: Tiger

an actually good joke album. the mashed together songs actually work well together & are transformed into entirely different songs that are good on their own (despite the soundclowny nature of them anyway)

Ok Glass - Can't Turn It Off

a wonderfully punky album full of weird instruments and vocals make this one of my absolute favorite albums. bought it on a whim too!

Pendulum - In Silico
best track: Visions

hard hitting electronic music with actually good vocals. this is Pendulum's best album imo, but the rest of their discography is great too

PinkiePieSwear - PPS2011
best track: Hush Now Quiet Now (Lucid Dream Mix)

a throwback to the beginning of the fandom, and one of the few early albums that are actually good. having the vocals be instruments of their own as much as the actual electronic bleeps and bloops make this album a real treat

i'm a sucker for albums with consistent mood, even moreso for ones with a story. this album also being my favorite kind of rap is just a very tasty cherry on top

Sabrepulse - First Crush

very chippy without being terrible to listen to, not to mention how well they made modern electronic stuff (plus vocals!) work with the crunchy beep boops of chiptunes

Smash Mouth - Astro Lounge
best track: Fallen Horses

energetic without being too relaxing. relaxing without being too mellow. ska is a wonderful genre that i'm ashamed to admit that i only own a few albums worth of it

a mix of genres that all fit the same tone that the game sets for its atmosphere, just a shame music isn't really incorporated into the game outside of the main menu

an entire story condensed into an album with its songs complementing each part of the journey, from mellow lows to absolutely hard highs

Vylet Pony - Tales from Equestria
best track: Hold on Before I Forget

a lovely mix of light, cozy songs & energetic (yet still low-key) tunes. hands down the second coziest album i currently own

Ween - The Mollusk
best track: Mutilated Lips

it's full of genres, moods, and jokes. probably one of the most fun albums i own
